On February 13th, the Relais du Voyageur will feature Wesli and the Wesliband – a Montreal group with strong links to Haiti. The leader of the group, Wesley Toussaint, is a native of Port-au-Prince. His band was already part of this year’s Festival du
Voyageur line-up when the devastating earthquake of January 12th occurred. 

The Festival du Voyageur, l’Accueil francophone and the Centre culturel franco-manitobain joined forces and believed this would be a perfect opportunity to transform this into a fundraiser for the small Carribean country. Not only will you be able to enjoy the artists, their flavourful music and the culture they represent but it will also give the Francophone community and all of Winnipeg a unique opportunity to come to the aid of Haiti.
