Yuri’s Night is a worldwide celebration of the first human in space, Yuri Gagarin. This year marks the 49th anniversary of the event which changed the human species forever. The event is basically space meets music meets art. Dance under the stars of the planetarium, talk space with scientists in the Science Gallery, try out Project Whitecard’s new video game “Astronaut: Moon, Mars and Beyond” developed under contract for NASA; visit the “Meteorite Petting Zoo”. Space-themed costume contest – win cool space prizes including an actual meteorite! Special guests; UFO researcher Chris Rutkowski, Rob Dyck from the Mars Society, meteorite hunter Ralph Croning, plus musical guests THE SHAKE (DJs Lotek and Manalogue), DJ CYCLIST , DJ BEEKEENI and DJ KING KOBRA.
