Urban Shaman’s Marvin Francis Media Gallery presents Awakening the Spirit: Its not within us to be dependent. Five video essays by Aboriginal youth who created a personal interpretation of “Awakening the Spirit.” Opening in Urban Shaman’s Artist Studio Gallery is !" Years After OKA, featuring the work of Arnold Leventhal. The three exhibitions, Deeds/Nations, Awakening the Spirit and !" Years After Oka, provide the viewer with an opportunity to revisit Aboriginal and Canadian history, issues and events through the eyes of this collective group of artists.
