Laser Shows

July 2, 2010 to September 7, 2010

Laser Shows

You asked, so we brought 'em back! Laser shows will play at the Planetarium all summer long. See them all: the British Invasion, Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, Daft Punk, and Queen's greatest hits.

The laser shows take the music of well-known bands like Pink Floyd or Queen and combine them with beautiful laser-light images which are projected on the dome. The laser is a very pure brilliant colour—unlike other light sources, such as video projection, it's a much brighter and intense light, he says. Some songs use animated characters or scenes drawn with the laser, while others use fractal patterns, abstract images, or special effects to complement the music.

Show schedule beginning July 2:

“Laser Daft Punk” – Fri-Sat at 7:15PM
“Laser British N-Vasion” – Thur at 7:15PM, Fri-Sat at 8:30PM
