Bordertown Cafe

Bordertown Cafe

Jimmy’s a normal seventeen-year-old Canadian kid, living with his mom behind a tiny roadside café perched on the Canadian side of the Alberta-Montana border, looking forward to the first day of school and hockey practice. Then his American dad calls out of the blue to ask him to uproot his life and move to Colorado. There’s no shortage of opinions from his family, including his ascerbic American grandmother (who lives in Canada only under loud protest) and his wry Canadian grandfather. Alternately funny and touching, Bordertown Café puts a young and human face on what it means to be Canadian, just as Free Trade heats up again!
