Fungi are nature’s recyclers. If they did not exist, dead plants and animals would not decompose and be recycled into the next generation of living beings. Fungi are NOT plants! We know little about the fungi and lichens that live in Manitoba. Our Curator of Botany has been collecting, and accepting donations of these organisms to help us understand them better.
