Gearshifting Performance Works is pleased to present choreography by Anna Sokolow, Denise Clarke, Deborah Dunn and Jolene Bailie in “Love and War”, a theatrical modern dance performance of mixed repertoire. Performers include Jolene Bailie, Mark Sawh Medrano, Emma Rose and Spenser Halfyard.

The program features the classic historical solos “Escape” and “The End?” choreographed in 1955 by one of the great founders of modern dance, Anna Sokolow (New York). The program also includes “The Green Zone” created for Jolene by award-winning and nationally acclaimed Guest Choreographer Deborah Dunn (Montreal), the “soul” excerpt from “private i” created by the sensational Denise Clarke (Calgary) and the premiere of a fantastical, sophisticated love romp choreographed by Jolene Bailie to musical excerpts from Carmen.
