In the summer of 1959 Captain Tyler Olsen, a flight instructor stationed at the Air Base in Moose Jaw, received orders of a temporary assignment in Gimli, MB. The Captain took along his son Sandy who found a job working at a summer camp for kids. There Sandy met Danielle Zuko and, of course, the two of them fell deeply and passionately into teenage love! At the end of the summer Danielle had to return to Winnipeg and Sandy's Dad was awaiting new orders to an undisclosed location. The two young lovers bid each other a sad farewell and shared one last kiss.
Captain Olsen and Sandy end up in Winnipeg for the next year, meaning, Sandy would be taking his grade 12 year at Rydell High...the same school as his beloved Danielle attends! Life is perfect, right? Wrong! Sandy soon finds out that the conservative Danielle he met during the summer is known as Danni, the leader of the tough girl's greaser gang the T-Birdies, at Rydell High.
Sandy looks to his new friend, only other member of the chess club, Buddy Rizzo for help with how to fit in with Danni and her gang. Meanwhile, Danni has been consulting her girl friends on what to do about Sandy. Will Danielle become a member of the chess club or will Sandy get greased?
Rock & Roll music supplies the soundtrack for out lighthearted romp back to the 1950's! This is your invitation to join us at the very first dance of the year, the Sadie Hawkins Dance at Rydell High. Remember girls, you have to ask the boys!
