Showcase Gallery became a prime and unique feature concentrating on Manitoba talent, the public is able to vote for their favorite entry each year.

The Art Expo has donated over $52,000 to CancerCare over the past 8 years.

The Assiniboia Group of Artist Cooperative Inc. is dedicated to the support, encouragement and promotion of visual artists in Manitoba and to provide, in a creative and entertaining way, the opportunity of these artists to display their works in a public forum.

At the same time, recognizing their responsibility to support their community, the Cooperative accepts the challenge to raise funds for worthy, designated charities.

Since its commencement thirteen years ago, the Manitoba Art Expo has been affiliated with a major charity. For the past ten years this has been the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation and, to date, more than $55,000 has been contributed to them. This commitment continues for 2009. Of the amount contributed so far, the majority has been generated by the Framers' corner. This has been accomplished by selling draw tickets on framed fine art prints.
