The Secret Policeman's (WPG) Ball

December 4, 2009

The Secret Policeman’s Ball: An evening of music, comedy, naughty bits & burlesque with all profits going to the best charity in the world: Amnesty International.

The Secret Policeman’s Ball was originally conceived in the 70s by Amnesty UK and developed by John Cleese and the legendary Monty Python comedy troupe. Though the concept of the show has evolved as it has spread around Europe and North America, it remains synonymous with Amnesty International and is always a most entertaining evening. The The Secret Policeman’s Winnipeg Ball takes place at the Park Theatre on December 4, 2009, and profits from the event will go toward continuing the work of Amnesty. The date of the show was chosen for its proximity to International Human Rights Day on December 10 2009, as it will be one of the flagship events for Winnipeg’s recognition of this important date.

Hosted by: Al Rae (the guy behind the Winnipeg Comedy Festival)
