Nu Sounds starts off the new year on January 10 with an appearance by bassist Steve Hamilton. Hamilton will present what he considers some of the best-written jazz music from the last 40 years, music that Hamilton and his group regards as ''new standards." Steve, along with saxophonist Jimmy Greene, pianist Will Bonness, percussionist Scott Senior, and drummer Curtis Nowosad, will be playing music by some of today's greatest composers, including Pat Metheny, Keith Jarrett, Kenny Garrett, Jaco Pastorious, Kenny Wheeler, John Scofield, and E.S.T.
