Since debuting in 1991, Diamond Rio has charted 33 singles on the U.S. country music charts, including five #1 hits. Their debut single, Meet in the Middle reached #1 on the Billboard chart, making them the first country group to have its debut single reach number one. The group's debut album was released and produced four more top 10 hits including Norma Jean Riley & Nowhere Bound.
Diamond Rio received the Academy of Country Music's award for Top Vocal Group (1991 & 1992). They also received four Country Music Association's awards for Vocal Group of the Year, thirteen Grammy nominations, and in 1998 were inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.
