A collection of new works by Winnipeg's women jazz composers:
FINLAY, GREGOIRE, FOURNIER and BAERT
Well known Winnipeg jazz composers Michelle Gregoire, Janice Finlay and Lianne Fournier, along with newcomer Danielle Baert, have created a unique concert concept that is not to be missed. While these veteran composers are frequently heard performing individually with their own groups, COLLABORATE… CREATE… COMPOSE! marks the first time the women have had the chance to work together on a specific project. For this special concert occasion, each composer will premiere new music, including at least one piece inspired by and incorporating a communal collection of musical elements contributed by the individual composers at the start of the project.
