Converging Interests

March 25 - April 6, 2010 (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat)

Cre8ery Gallery, Cre8ery Gallery, 2nd fl. - 125 Adelaide Street

Description

Annemarie Layman's narrative art series, Caring for the Soul, is a journey and an attempt at rendering the caring of one's soul. It is a visual story presenting images through watercolour, mixed media and collage.

George Tanner's paintings progress along two different paths. One from his imagination, ideas and experience which are often treated in an unexpected humorous or manner. With the other drawing on landscape and atmosphere of the environment, especially locations in the Whiteshell.

John Mills' art reflects his interest in equine activities, his interests in rare and endangered breeds of farm animals in Manitoba, and his need to publicize their plight. He began by painting horses because of their diversity, beauty, dignity and strength but soon also included rare and often spectacular breeds of farm livestock.
