Ivan Eyre Gallery, 3rd Floor

This exhibition spans the extent of Ivan’s long and continuing career with a focus on the impact of growing up on the prairies of Tullymet, Saskatchewan and soon after moving to Manitoba. The prairie skies and adjoining landscape offered a curtain for Ivan Eyre to stage his figures and constructions in a large number of acrylic and oil paintings currently on exhibition from the Pavilion Gallery Museum permanent collection. The mood has a somewhat mystical feel in the early morning glows and evening deep shadows and mythical configurations created in these “homes” with their often subdued tones.
